Robert Zepeda, Managing Director and CTO
Robert Zepeda is the founder, Managing Director, and CTO of Foremost Technology Company Limited, a tech startup building innovative industry solutions with an AI-first approach.
Prior to establishing Foremost Technology Co. Ltd., from 2013 through 2020 Mr. Zepeda was the founder and former CEO of PlayBasis, an award-winning Southeast Asia-headquartered Fintech rewards management platform powered by a rules-based gamification engine. In 2015, PlayBasis announced that it had successfully raised Series A financing, becoming only the fifth company in Thailand to reach that milestone.
Through his pioneering work at PlayBasis, Mr. Zepeda generated US$200m in gross transaction volume on behalf of clients and US$1m in Software-as-a-Service revenue for the business, achieving a mid-thirties compound annual growth rate and cash flow break-even while growing the PlayBasis platform to 20 million registered users with 20 billion points issued, partnering with key players such as Visa & Amazon Web Services, and acquiring a portfolio of blue-chip clients including Unilever, Development Bank of Singapore, DBS Hong Kong, AIA Group, HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, Krungsri MUFG Bank, Telenor Group's Digi Telecom and dtac Wallet, StarHub Communications, True Money Wallet, True Corporation, Tops Supermarket, TMB Bank, Thai Airways, and SwissRe.
In addition to day-to-day management of the 20-person company, Mr. Zepeda was responsible for setting the company vision and go-to-market strategy, managing relationships with key stakeholders, leading the execution of the product roadmap, driving sales and revenue, and raising external financing for the business.
